Barry is a self taught artist who lives in Hampshire. He not only takes his inspiration from the local and regional landscape - including the New Forest, local rivers and the Solent,  but also from his travels abroad - particularly in France and Italy.

Painting with watercolours, acrylics and mixed media, he is especially interested in exploring the use of colour and contrasting light so as to evoke strong connections and depth of feeling.  In this sense, his work is distinctive and is becoming increasingly popular.
